The winter edition of The Valley Voice is now available in our archive (which is worth a visit: it goes all the way back to the beginnings of the Friends more than 20 years ago). In this edition (amongst much else) you’ll find details of our forthcoming AGM: Sunday February 23rd, at 2pm in Greenbank Church Hall. Tea and biscuits (and people to chat with) will be available from 1.45 pm. Papers for the meeting, including the Annual Report, are on the Meetings page. Please come if you can.
Some of FOBVP’s committee members will be standing down at the AGM so we need a member or two to join us to keep the ship afloat. The commitment is not onerous: the committee meets 4 times a year (usually by Zoom), and makes many decisions by email. No special skills are required – just a continuing interest in the welfare of the park and its users. On this occasion we would particularly welcome someone who is willing to take over the organisation of our annual Tea in the Park, now that Claire Jellema is passing on that responsibility. She’ll be passing on her organisational notes and lists of volunteers too!
