There have been several reports this week of large flocks of Waxwings in areas close to the Park. These spectacular birds which only visit Scotland in the winter are usually seen in flocks and often at the tops of small trees. Look out for them and let us know if you see any in the Park.

In the autumn the birds feed on the berries of Rowan trees,of which there are many in the Park. However at this stage in the winter most berries have been eaten so it would be interesting to know what they are feeding on.
