Our long-promised cherry trees have finally arrived, after many covid-related delays. Some of the original trees (of the 400 planted in 1935) were culled last week; and their replacements (15 of them) were planted in the last few days. They have been selected to give greater variety and an extended blossoming season. We are grateful to AEB Charitable Trust for a substantial grant which, along with donations from Friends, made this possible. Many of the original 400 are still with us; so this is an ongoing project!
